June 23, 2018, Supreme Nissan, Slidell, LA
If you didn’t come to our meeting on the 23rd you missed an event. Supreme Nissan in Slidell was terrific in pulling out the stops and having a great event for us. The covered area, BBQ (special shout out to the cook, it was hot and hotter where he cooked), plenty of water and soft drinks and a great many prizes for the members. The turnout was great, a good variety of the Datsun and Nissan Z’s were on hand. One attendee came from Pensacola, FL and we had 3 from Lafayette, LA and of course our Mississippi gang as well, making it a Gulf Coast Z meeting. Thanks to all who came out and participated and again Special thanks to Nancy for having Supreme Nissan to host the club. Hope to see you next time at one of our events.
October 21, 2017, Pat Peck Nissan, Gulfport, MS
We would like to thank everyone at Pat Peck Nissan for their hospitality. We met some new friends, spend time with old friends and got to see some great cars. Not only did they cook for us, they also sponsored trophies for the car show as well. We had winners in the following categories: 240z/260z/280z , 300zx , 350z, 370z, GTR and Best of Show. I would like to thank Kevin Payton at Pat Peck and Charles Gianelloni (new to our club) for taking a lot of the pictures we have here. All the GTR’s were fantastic, one was an early 90’s Skyline GTR, a newer Nismo GTR and another with a custom Alpha package (8SECGTR). Thanks again to Pat Peck and everyone that came out. Hope to see you next time at one of our events.
September 29, 2017, Covington Block Party, Covington, LA
The Covington Block party on Sep 29th was an awesome experience. Multitude of People, lots of cars of all types and ages, blaring music, cookouts as well as local restaurants serving great meals. Even with only two 370’s parked together, we had quite a few people stop by and discuss the cars, some reminiscing about their 240/260/280 that they had way back when and some asking all kinds’a questions about our 370’s. We had a great time!
Next Covington Block Party is the weekend before Halloween on Friday Oct 27 – this is also the Friday after Pat Peck’s Event. It is anticipated that this Block Party will bring out even more hordes of people, some costumed with their Halloween themed vehicles. It is also the last Block Party of the Season, so it will be even more grand due to this particular merit if nothing else. Don’t miss it – Make plans to be there!!
September 16, 2017, Eddie Tourelle’s Northpark Nissan, Covington, LA
Northpark Nissan was gracious enough to host the Gulf Coast Z Club this month. We had a great turnout with 20 cars. Northpark rolled out the red carpet and even cook lunch for the group and the dealership. Though it was very hot, we had a number of 280z’s, 300zx’s, 350z’s, 370z’s and even a couple GTR’s show up. Two new members came with LS1 swap-outs on there 78′ 280z’s. We are excited to keep this relationship with Northpark and hope to have more events there in the future.
July 15, 2017, Mug Shot’s, Covington, LA
Saturday, July 15, The Gulf Coast Z Club met at Mugshots in Covington. The event was graciously and generously hosted by Northpark Nissan/Nissan Corporate. Attendees from the Nissan Corporate side included PR/Sales (Nancy Davis and Chris) and Engineering/Technical (David) and from the Northpark Nissan side Steve Jackson (Service Manager), Ron Williams (Service Advisor) and Shawn (Service Technician). The rain did not get in the way of us having fun and enjoying a great meal! If you weren’t there, then you missed a great event…
May 2017, Shaggy’s, Pass Christian, MS
Our meeting at Shaggy’s in Pass Christian, MS was a ‘Huge Success’ despite the bad weather that we knew was coming our way. I hope everyone made it back home safely from the event. Cody and his wife made the longest trek from Lafayette, LA in his 300ZX TT, as well as members from the Covington/Mandeville area and Mario’s group from Mississippi. We had everything from a 240Z to 370Z Nismo’s as well as an Infinity G37. We even had a surprise addition to our group when we got to Shaggy’s – Apparently, Erin works and Shaggy’s and she owns a nice Blue 350Z that was parked just outside the restaurant, so we inducted her into our club!
Special Thanks for this event goes to Shaggy’s for the great food and their accommodating of the large last minute group that descended on them all of a sudden, Richie Zito for organizing the event at Shaggy’s, Bobby Worchel for his work on our Facebook page to advertise the event, and of course, Nancy Davis for her participation at our event and the nice giveaways (Z Key chain & Nissan Flashlight Key Chain) she distributed to all participants. Last but not least, Special Thanks to everyone who braved the elements to come to the event and greet Nancy Davis, the manufacturer’s representative and new addition to our group. With Nancy’s involvement, I believe our Future Club Meetings are going to be more exciting with more participation by Nissan from both the Manufacturer and Dealer levels.
Our next meeting is tentatively scheduled for July 15 at Mugshots in Covington, LA at 1:30pm, with possible participation by additional Nissan Technical representatives as well at the event. Mark it on your calendars and stay tuned for more info soon.
Hope those of us who could not make it this time can join us next time around at Mugshots in Covington.

June 14th, 2015 Car Show & Meeting – Price LeBlanc Nissan, Gonzalez
We had 13 Z’s in attendance on a cloudy day. The rain held off for the entire time at LeBlanc Nissan. Rick and Mary hosted again and helped us complete another successful show. The food was great, prizes and awards were presented by LeBlanc Nissan. It was great to see the old and new faces bringing their Z’s.
