July 2020, Gulfport, MS – Picnic
Saturday, July 11th, some of the group got together for a cruise (meet up) starting in Covington, LA, through Slidell, a stop at the rest area near Infinity Science Center (Stennis) and finally Jones Park off East Beach Blvd. in Gulfport MS.
June 2020 get together at Harold’s, Prairieville, LA
Saturday, June 20th, we had a great little get together at Harold’s in Prairieville, LA. Even though this was supposed to be a working weekend for Harold and Mario to go over his Datsun 1600 engine troubles, many of us crashed the party. Harold fired up the grille and it turned into a great social event. It was great to see everyone, a few that we had not seen in quite a while, and a new-comer to the group. Harold showed off his two new projects, the Datsun 1600 and a Nissan 300zx twin-turbo RHD. We hope to see everyone next time!
November 02, 2019, Survivors, Thrivers, and Drivers, St. Tammany Cancer Center, Covington, LA
Saturday, Bobby Worchel, Brad Waite and Paul Corban attended the “Survivors, Thrivers, and Drivers” Car Show Fund Raiser at the St Tammany Cancer Center on Hwy 21 in Covington. We fielded 5 vehicles between the three of us and Bobby won a “Top 25” plaque for his 50th Anniversary Edition 370Z. The weather was PERFECT for a car show, and there were upwards of 140 cars at the show. Free Lunch was provided complete with Cake for Dessert as well as free coffee and donuts in the morning.
Starting with an early breakfast at Cracker Barrel then off to the event, we had over 20 cars represent at this months get together. From ‘new school’ to ‘old school’ it was a great representation of the Nissan’s and Datsun’s. We had 260z’s, 280z’s, 300zx’s, 350z’s, 370z’s and a GTR represented. Special thank you to Supreme Nissan of Slidell for pulling out all the stops and the BBQ. Stay tuned for future events.
